In autumn 2013 mezzo-soprano Angelika Kirchschlager and singer-songwriter Konstantin Wecker started an international concert tour together: a spectacular cross-over project combining Jazz, Classical “Kunstlied” and Wecker classics. In addition to the filmed concert the documentary shows the artists in intensive rehearsal with the Spring String Quartet and Jo Barnikel. We meet two exceptional artists from completely different realms approaching each other, leaving their genres behind to create a synergy. The Sueddeutsche Zeitung writes: “Then they sing ‘Erlkoenig’, Kirchschlager tones Wecker’s fervour in autumn colours, it becomes rough, cold and really good.”
