Jiří Kylián is a living legend. He is the creator of more than a hundred works, several of which form part of the repertories of some of the greatest dance centres in the world such as the Stuttgart Ballet, the Paris Opéra, the Munich Bayerisches Staatsballett and the Tokyo Ballet. Jiří Kylián (born in the Czechoslovakia, 1947) has been artistic director and house choreographer of Nederlands Dans Theater for more than thirty years. Throughout his career Kylián created over 70 choreographies for NDT. Arthaus Musik presents 22 legendary choreographies by Jiří Kyliàn, with more than 800 minutes footage, fi rstly released in this unique edition. The two portrait fi lms about Kyliàn’s life and work illustrate his artistic career from the 70s until today.
